Title: Blair Sandburg Goes to Hell (12 K)
Author: Freya-Kendra
Summary: After a three week absence, Blair Sandburg walked into the bullpen at Cascade's Major Crimes division wearing his arm in a sling. This alone was enough to turn heads and conjure questions. But when his answer to those questions began with the sentence, "well, it all started when I went to Hell," he was grateful he would only have to tell his tale once.

Title: I Shot the Shaman .but I did not shoot the sentinel (131 K)
Author: Freya-Kendra
Summary: The writing process sounds silly, but there's nothing silly about the fic. Full of drama, angst and H/C, this one involves both our shaman and our sentinel getting shot in separate incidents, a hijacked truckload of guns that are hitting the streets, and an unfortunate, overwhelmed college freshman who's caught in the middle.

Rating: PG-13

Notes: This is a fic derived from a filk* derived from the original song by Bob Marley, and later by Eric Clapton an admittedly odd sequence of inspirational bouts! The filk came straight from the muses. Normally, my filks are either completely character based or they describe particular episodes. This filk, however, is neither. Instead, it came from an Original Character who crept into my mind for a little "sing-a-long" one day. Then, after the filk was written and I realized I had a mystery on my hands i.e. this OC shot Blair, but someone else was apparently responsible for shooting Jim I knew I couldn't leave it unsolved. Hence . this fic! {*The filk that inspired this fic is included at the end [click here].} [App. 54 printed pages.]

Title: The Magic in a Moment (16 K)
Author: Freya-Kendra
Summary: Holiday Fic (Christmas) Jim finds the spirit of Christmas, and is able to appreciate it all the more when he gets the chance to enlighten Blair.
Category
: Shaman Sense
: Holiday
Rating: G
Notes: This ficlet was written for the Cascade Times Secret Santa exchange. I was challenged to write something Christmas related that was true to the show. I, too, like things that remain canon-based. That's why it seemed strange to me that the muses kept insisting I write something post TSbBS. Nonetheless, I think what those muses gave me might still meet the challenge -- I hope my Secret Santa recipient will agree. In my scenario, Blair's academic credibility has been restored, though he has also attended the police academy. He has found the 'best of both worlds' as a full-time detective and part-time academic, performing lectures at the university when contracted to do so.

Title: Synth-Sense aka "the Rest Stop fic" (122 K)

Immediately after the events of "The Sentinel, by Blair Sandburg" (the series finale), Blair is tracked down by a woman from Boston, who talks him into taking a road trip with her. "You need to go away from here," she said after those first days together. "This place, this city . it's all wrong for you. Let's go." If only he knew her real intentions

Notes: Originally posted as a WIP on Cascadetimes (Yahoogroup) in Sept & Oct of 2005, this complete version is still pending finale polishing.
This fic was built on a foundation established by the Matchbox 20 song, "Rest Stop." What might have happened to Blair, if he had been the subject of that song, and had been abandoned on a highway "just three miles from the rest stop"? That question led to another, as I wondered why someone might do that to him. And where were they headed in the first place? More questions continued to rise, and this WIP continued to grow. Eventually, it went way beyond the "Rest Stop" fic it started out as, evolving into an adventure full of mystery and intrigue. 304 KB, 60 printed pages
